Art project recipient of the A Arte Chegou ao Colombo Award and exhibited at Museu Colecção Berardo, consisting of 27 painted plates, in the various stages of the dandelion blossoming, arranged according to the global map of the spread of Covid-19.
The year 2020, which began with great expectations, ended up, on the contrary, being a year of pause, collection and reflection resulting from this overwhelming pandemic. What Covid-19 brought us was a need to rethink human management in the occupation of territory, its sharing and our connection with nature and to use this negative event to envision improvements in the future.
The virus resembles a weed because of the speed with which it spreads. Dandelion is an invasive herb that, blown by the wind, colonizes and multiplies. It's a bitter herb, for these bitter times.
