A commissioned art project for the Sofitel Lisbon Liberdade Hotel, consisting of 43 aluminum sheets with different cuts, referencing different shapes of the jacarandá flower blossoming.

Any resident of Lisbon waits patiently for the arrival of the Summer, announced by the blue and purple carpet of jacarandá trees, which stretches across the top of the streets and across the ground in a sticky blanket. Jacarandás arrived to our city through the hands of Félix de Avelar Brotero, director of the Jardim Botânico da Ajuda, at the beginning of the 19th century. They are trees from South America, with an indigenous name from the Tupí-Guarani language. They liked our temperate climate and prospered, as in other cities around the world.
